An Eldon woman was seriously injured Saturday afternoon after being pinned by a car against a gas station wall in Miller County.

An Eldon woman was seriously injured Saturday afternoon after being pinned by a car against a gas station wall in Miller County.

According to a report from the Missouri State Highway Patrol, the incident occured when 21-year-old Taylor Cotten of Eldon sought to reposition her vehicle in a parking space. The vehicle traveled onto the sidewalk and struck 26-year-old Tabitha Stark who was pinned against the gas station’s rock wall at 7 Acorn Drive in Eldon. Stark was transported by helicopter to University Hospital in Columbia and Cotten was not injured. 

The 2006 Kia Sorento Cotten was driving received minor damage and was driven from the scene.
