BAKERSFIELD, Calif. — A gas leak at the intersection of Calloway Drive and Brimhall Avenue is forcing officials to control traffic in the area.

According to the City of Bakersfield and the Bakersfield Police Department, several intersections have been closed due to a gas leak. BPD said Calloway Dr. is closed between Slikker Drive and Marby Grange Way. Brimhall Rd. is closed between Piper Glenn Drive and Harvest Creek Road.

BPD said the closer is exxpected to last for approximately five hours as SoCalGas works on the repairs.
